Growing up in South C, Nairobi, AMAZ was surrounded by the sounds of his mother’s soulful humming to church tunes. The influence of hip hop legends E-sir and Bigpin in the same neighborhood provided a backdrop for his musical journey.
From an early age, AMAZ was drawn to the sounds of rap music. He found inspiration in the likes of Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and local legends E-sir, Nameless, and Kalamashaka. Later, he began to experiment with freestyling and writing his lyrics, developing his skills and refining his sound. So far, his catalog features tunes such as Kila Siku, Tamu and Taarifa.
